Oliver Milgate

Like many creatives, my journey began with a talent for visual arts from a young age.

This passion led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Design from The Whitehouse Institute in Sydney, majoring in Creative Direction & Styling, and along the way picking up a talent for photography and a love for visual storytelling.

 

Upon graduating, I dove head first into many fields to get as much experience as possible, from designing children's books to film sets and back. I finally decided to focus on my love of filmmaking and  hone in on it's compelling potential, beginning with directing music videos and professionally producing video in the corporate world, then starting a small-scale content studio with my wife before teaming up with my childhood best friend to launch Blueboy Films.

I have a proficiency in both the technical and conceptual elements of filmmaking, with a talent in envisioning an idea and putting the pieces together to bring it to life. As the creative director of Blueboy, I'm responsible for leading each project, understanding the key goals of our clients and orchestrating how to deliver them through video.

I strive to deliver authenticity and timelessness in everything I take on, with projects that stand the test of time and tell powerful stories on screen.
